Before a book can be published, it must first be written, edited, proofread, and it has to have artwork. But that doesn't mean you can't read Brandon's light novels before they become published. He created a Patreon for people who want to support his writing and gain a few perks in the process.

Patreon is a third-party service where you can pledge to send regular payments to creators like myself. This is a way to support people like me so we can continue creating the content you love.
Patreon is probably the best way to support creators. We can make 100% original content without compromising our desires, payments are made monthly so we can pay our bills, and we don't need to stoop to shady practices to create more content. Patreon allows creators to serve their people instead of serving advertisers, corporate sponsors, and shady mooks.

Writing doesn't seem like it would cost much in theory. All you do is sit in front of a computer and type out some words, right? In theory, that's all it is. However, there are a lot of costs that go into creating quality content. It costs money to hire artists, a team of editors, narrators for audiobooks, etc. These behind-the-scene costs add up. What's more, I have many goals I want to achieve that will cost even more money: adapting my stories into comics, turning them into audiobooks, and commissioning artists for monthly artwork.
Of course, I also do this for a living, so by supporting me here on Patreon, you are directly contributing to my survival.

Your support will, first and foremost, affirm all of the hard work and effort I put into my writing. Nothing makes an author feel better than knowing there are dedicated readers willing to monetarily assist them. Aside from the emotional and financial assistance to yours truly, I will always strive to improve my writing.
